the bay area fog machine

We've had several bleary days, quite a contrast from the cloudless skies of LA this past weekend.  Although us San Franciscans love to hate the fog, sometimes we forget the exquisite beauty as it rolls in from the Pacific.

One thing I enjoy about driving the 280 after spending time in the HOT South Bay is seeing the fog roll in over the mountains.  It is so dense and soft.  It blankets the forest so completely as it continues to engulf the rest of San Francisco.
It's as if the bay is bidding us good night and tucking us under its warm freezing covers.
